GRADING
Grades will be updated in PowerSchool biweekly. Progress Reports are sent home at the midpoint of each quarter, and Report Cards are sent home every 9 weeks.
Basic breakdown of grading is listed below. Periodic tests and quizzes will be given and weighted on an individual basis.
Durham Public Schools currently adheres to the following grading scale:
A = 90-100
B = 80-89
C = 70-79
D = 60-69
F = 0-59

HOMEWORK
Students will not be assigned homework in this class. Students who do not complete work in class are expected to complete it outside of class.
Late Work Policy
All students are expected to complete all assignments in every class. If for some reason a student must turn in an assignment late meaning after the make-up date which is on Friday, then 10 points will be taken off. If a student misses between three and five assignments in any one class, then parents will be contacted to assist with the situation.. In order to assist with this process, make up work should not be given to students who have ISS. ISS is for that day’s work ONLY.
BATHROOM POLICY:
There is a protected time of 10 minutes after and before the bell. Students are allowed to use the restroom during transition between classes. A handwritten CMS pass must be used to visit any other location.
